Eibach - Need your help!!!! - Please respond
I've Installed the Eibach springs about 2 weeks ago and kept the stock struts and I am having a change of heart about them. Though the handeling is great the ride is so rough That I am thinking about replacing them as soon as possible. My struts are making all kind of noise going over the smallest bumps. Please, if any body has them please let me know what struts have installed them with them. What can I do to make the car ride little better? maybe a different springs/struts combination.
FYI: I still have my original tires, So would going to bigger rim size
(18x8 Millemiglia Evo 5) help?
I would really appreciate if anyone can post back some feedback. Thanks.

Going to a bigger rim size will make your ride even worse. Less tire=worse ride.
I have Eibachs with stock struts and the ride is good enough for me. I'm more concerned with performance and looks over ride comfort, so it is hard to gauge your level of sensitivity.
I have absolutely no noise coming from mine, so I am guessing that the shop did not use isolation sleeves. That is a common problem.

i have same springs and stock struts on my 2k for about 40,000 miles and yes, the handling is great and the ride is a little rougher than stock, that should be the expected trade-off. i'm surprised that the struts are still holding up......
I have about 15k miles on my Eibach springs with stock toks. Ditto what the last two guys said. The one thing I did wrong was not cut the bump stops so make sure you RTFM and do that so you don't bottom out over big bumps.
The tires are a huge factor in the ride quality too. My Blotenzas are showing all the wear bars in the front and now I can feel every pebble in the road where as when they were newer the ride quality was almost as good as with the stock springs.

I had eibachs and stock shocks for 12k miles and the ride was a bit stiff. I ended up switching over to H&R's and Tociko's, the ride is still a bit stiffer than stock, but much softer than the eibachs. I'm very pleased w/ the set-up.
I used stock struts on my Max with Eibachs for about 13k miles before they gave up. Stock struts were fine up to about 9-10k miles then really deteriorated fast. Put Tokicos on and I'm very happy. Ride still pretty firm, but I like it (better than with stock struts). I'm hoping that new tires will also help. I have never had any noises and the bump stops were trimmed.
