Cracks

I have a 2002 Blue SE Maxima ,which I just got in Februay.I spent alot of time waxing it . Five step wax job (Klasse to Pinnacle). I just noticed cracks, just below the rear doors running up from the ground effects, they are about an inch long maybe longer.I know they were not there when I waxed the car. Went to two dealers one said the panels are made that way the other said it was tape, they have got to be joking. After looking at the cars on there lots almost of the Maximas have similar cracks either on one side or both .Has anybody else noticed these cracks ????????

Love the care, hate the cracks.

I have noticed mine. I figured it was where they joined the parts of the body. You'd think they would do a better job

Re: Cracks

Did you get an used car? It maybe the previous owner's fault. A repair from auto body shop shouldnt cost more than $200. Good luck.

Ok, do you mean straight lines? Or actual cracks in the paint?

No they are not straight .I think they start under the ground effects . What you can see look like inverted L's and they are cracks in the panel and not just the paint.I'm new at this if I knew how I would have posted a picture.
