Hood wobbles at speed

A few months back my headlights were stolen (surprise). Same with a friend who parks his Max in the same lot. We had or cars repaired by different shops. Both shops did a great job, you'd never know the lights had been stolen, or that the fenders and hood had been damaged in the process.

Once you get over 60 MPH, the hood seems to bulge upwards slightly and wobbles with every bump. It did not do this before the body work was done. Same condition on both cars. Body shop says they can not be adjusted any more.

Does anyone know of a process to fix this that I can do at home? Also, opinion, what is the liklihood of it popping open while driving?

there is a TSB out on it somewhere..I personally don't have it....I would like it though...but either way, the fix is a couple pieces of molding under the hood....bring your car to the dealership, its under warranty

Not under warranty. 36,000+ miles. Bummer.

I'll find the TSB and buy the parts.

call up Dave Burnette and ask him for the "lamp pack" or somethin..tell him the rubber molding to stop the hood from shaking, he'll understand

It's $20....888-254-6060...oh yeah mention you're from the .org

I was about to write in and see if anyone had this issue - mine's done it from day one. Sometimes i get freaked out and think the darn thing is gonna flip over and fly into my windshield!

Thanks for the tip on getting it fixed!

Thats pretty funny because i told my dealer about it from day one to but at 1st the said it was my "After Injen Intake" go figure! So I said ok... Took it off and put the stock air box and guess what still did it.. So they said it was the hood lach.. Wrong again!! Still does it... The tech said well ur going to have a little bounce to it... My Azz it will... I didn't pay 30 g's to watch my hood bounce every morning going to work.. I would love it to fly up one day to sue the living sh*t out of the dealership that keeps saying "Well that normal"... Then Nissan puts these crappy Bridgestone tires on our car's btw the 04's have Goodyr's on them.. I was coming home from work yesterday and couldn't even use my cruise control because the freaking car would hydroplane and kick the cruise off every 2 min. Ok i'm done venting now.. Other then that "I LUV MY CAR"
