Possible Problems:
1 LEAD FOOT
2 POOR QUALITY GAS
3 TOO MUCH LOCAL RICE THAT NEEDS TO BE SHOWN WHATS UP

Suggested Remedies/Solutions
1 Place a hard stationary object beneath the accelerator pedal in order to prevent constant full throttle acceleration
2 Always follow manufacturers suggestions pertaining to fuel and fuel quality as outlined in your nissan owners manual, if necessary change fueling stations and/or brand of gasoline. It is also suggested to never allow the tank to reach a point below half full as to avoid wear on the fuel pump causing premature failure
3 There are no suggestions for resolving the stupidity of others therefore one must do their best to avoid temptation by practicing some relaxing techniques such as counting to ten. If this fails seek professional help

With my 2000 SE (Auto) I get 20-23 mpg in the city, 25+ mpg on the highway.

So far, my best milage has been 32.3 mpg - this occured on a trip from Bend OR, to Redding, CA. It was all highway driving. To be fair, I should note that this trip had a slightly down-hill profile -my Max and I dropped about 2500 ft over 500+ miles. However, I am not sure this is all that sigificant.

Let me just say thatI could not believe it - the needle would not go down, I just kept driving, and finally refilled in Redding. When I did, the trip odometer showed I got 520+ miles on a single tank of gas (and the tank was not completely empty, I need to say).
