Do we really want to encourage this?

I was just wondering, with the increased difficulty we're all experiencing in getting through to this popular forum, if we should be encouraging mulitple, and sometimes trivial, posts just to rack up a score to get a higher name rating. Perhaps if we dropped the name thing we would all get through faster.

I think most are joking about doing it just to raise their rating. A lot of these "trivial" posts are just stupid social interaction between members. I think thats a good thing. Gives the board character... this isn't exactly a tech manual.

Must have something to do with all the database errors received when trying to access the forums.
