I am considering dropping my max, just curious on what springs I should get for the best price, and if I will be able to keep my stock struts/shocks.

 

I have Eibach springs. I got the tokico sturts also. To me if you lower a car do it right, i dont believe in 1/2 @ss jobs.

 

MaxSpeeds with stock struts will work unless your struts are already pretty bad. H&Rs should work as well. I paid 112 shipped for my MaxSpeeds and it was well worth it.

 

How'd you do the install though, i checked around today and the only place i could find that could do it would get me eibachs and installation for 450 bucks, sounds like a rip off to me.

 

If he has a GXE shouldn't he rplace the stock struts too? I am curious I have a 02 GLE w/ stock suspension. Isn't it different if you have an SE. I would think that we would pretty much have to replace both because of our "floaty" suspension.

 

Do yourself a favor and get shocks. The GXE shocks suck like the GLE ones do. If you had an SE I would say otherwise.

 

 

I would agree that you should replace the struts at the same time. Especially if you are paying someone to install. If not, and you have the tools, try running them on stock struts. If it is unbearable, take them off and go back stock. You will eventually blow your stock struts though.
