Oh the carnage...

Update:

Here it is
http://www.nissanx.net/gall/album82

A picture would be so appropriate right now but unfortunately all the digicams that I know of are unavailable.

ACCIDENT:

I was travelling westbound on IN62 (Lloyd Exp, Evansville, IN) and had just stopped at a light. The light changed to green so off I went...for about 10 ft until a Mercury Mountianeer travelling North and running the redlight at about 45-50 mph filled my vision. I hit the brakes, so she just barely clipped me, but succeeded in ripping the entire front bumper, grill and passenger side headlight off the car. At first I couldn't believe it. Then, slowly I got mad at myself, shut the car off and got out. Now, here is the good news to this story. My friend in the car behind me and a lady at the opposite intersection saw the whole thing. The lady driving the Mountaineer turned out to be drunk and decided to try and flee the scene in a very obvious way. The other good news is that a deputy Sheriff was on the scene in under a minute and saw the whole thing go down...

Pictures soon. Expect a new look for my Max in the coming month

Besides the Kombat, Ninja, Sarona, and Stillen body kits, what is available?

That's sad to hear...but it's good to hear that no one got hurt. This only shows what drinking and driving can do.

Absolutely...she got hooked up and hauled off within 20 minutes or so. The best part was that she tried to deny it! I mean there was still a piece of plastic from my front tire lodged between her rim and tire...

There should be extra penalties for trying to lie to cops in these situations.. the DWI should cover most of that in this case tho :/

The best part is, not only will the insurance company cover it, but you are also now a "victim" involved in a criminal case. You can push for compensation through the court as well.

Your comment is intriguing. When is it OK to lie to cops?

It's okay to lie to cops when they ask...Do you know how fast you were going? I mean c'mon, should you really tell them the truth?!

You're right. If I knew I was speeding I wouldn't admit it to them either. But my point is: when is it appropriate, as a person with good character, to tell the truth to the police, a judge or your insurance company. After reading many org threads on this topic for years, I get the impression it is never.

Cops can tell when you are lying or pulling something out of your a$$.

Best policy is, tell the truth... even it if is "I was just being stupid and speeding, sir". they'll respect you more and have a better chance to let you go.

Yeah, and I spilled this coffee that was too hot on my manhood thus inflicting my favorite loss of all:

Spousial Consortium

Of course I am not married, but I could claim that I can never be married now because this woman made me hate all women...

I will get what I deserve and a maybe a tad more for me having to deal with it...that is fair.

Me going to court with a neckbrace and claiming lost wages and pain and suffering wouldn't be fair in this case...

Another good part is the woman's insurance company might not cover HER damages since she was drunk. In NY they started this and stated that if you are drinking and driving you are in violation of your insurance agreement and therefore are not covered under the policy. Ha ha

This will teach you to drink & drive & hit a Max BEEEOOOTCH!

Ouch, though her damage was much less. Probably tire, rim maybe strut/sterring components on that side. Oh yeah, plus a long painfully silver scrape across the passenger side doors
