Y-Pipe?

You guys probably get this question asked always, I'm fairly new here, I have a 2003 Sheer Silver Maxima which I bought 4-months ago. My current mods are Injen CAI and Greddy exhaust. I'm looking for a Y-pipe...Which one out there is the best, money being no object.

The only y-pipe available for on on the 3.5 is the warpspeed and many have had fitment issues with it and very little gain in power. Id just wait til stillen (eventually) comes out with the headers. A alti 3.5 auto gained nearly 30whp with prototype headers from hotshot. A max should see similar gains so just wait, price will be over $500.

Headers just cost a damn lot more to install is all. Lot more than the 50 bucks for the Ypipe

Yeah I belive the labor will be in the $200-250 range. A good 4-5 hrs will be involved. Not to mention the headers will make the 3.5 run lean so im gonna wait til they make injectors for the 350z and get those along with a SAFC-II. The combo will be well over $1500 investment, but im guessing a good 40+whp will shine through with all 3 if not more.
Im getting ahead of myself, I still have to get the 03 6spd
3-4weeks.

why will headers make the car run lean, is it because of the o2 sensor or something.....and... what is all this talk about paying for installation.....come on...do it yourself...

5hrs isnt exactly a do it youself job for most. I work at a shop I can build my motor labor free if I wanted to I wont make it run lean due to the o2's the stock fuel system tops off and cna spray any more fuel. If the "auto" alti gained nearly 30whp im sure a 6spd with a properly altered fuel system would gain more then that. Dave/ 2K2_6spd was the one who ran the dyno here on phx hes got more details on it. But yeah to get 100% full potential out of these headers the fuel system would have to be upgraded. That is why im hoping they come out with more parts for the 350z, they should fit the max since its the same block.

Same block, I do not see why it should not. Same with the spring, reatiners, and while the heads are off might as well polish up a few things in there for a few more hp. Not too much like 3-5 im guessing but hell its already out so might as well. I have no clue as to how much gain the cams will give but im willing to bet atleast 20whp. If the injectors come out, combined with the cams, and headers (and some dyno tuning obviously) I still think the 3.5 should be able to pump out somewere in the upper 200whp range. My guess is around 280ish whp with all these. But the injectors, cams, safc-II, headers, tuning, labor, ect.. is gonna rack upward to $4K+ Serious power will be the result but these upgrades are not for the novices. I am more then willing to mess around with such mods, but after warranty 36K is up but I wont have the 3.5 for another 2-3 weeks. So im guessing its gonna be a good yr be4 we see any big N/A progess from this motor but it will happen. E-V-E-N-T-U-A-L-L-Y
