Replacing an O2 Sensor, quick question

Hey all,

After I replace my busted O2 sensor, do I need to have the ECU reprogrammed, or, will resetting it be ok?.

I have been getting a P0171 code for a while (Lean Condition Bank 1 Sensor 1), it was diagnosed as a bad sensor, so, I got one from DaveB.

I would think a reset should do the trick, but you may want to call Dave back and ask him.

What's with the O2 sensors I just got back from the dealer and I have two that are bad. He also mentioned that there is a TSB out on them? 2002 Maxima SE

I just replaced mine, and reset the ECU and it seems to be fine now. I did that and replace the spark plugs....it made a world of difference. I just got 28 MPG on my last tank of gas!!!
