Custom Audio Setup Finished

Alright guys, after months of saving and bugging my parents, my car audio dreams have come true! Page 2 of my homepage or here are the pics below. If you would like to see a better picture, post it here and I'll take a better one. And of course, thanks to DND Autosound!

My final box, window looks a small in the pic, but in actuality it is 24x12 inches.

Mine is almost finished just waiting for my headunit. Goto page 3 of my webpage to see my custom box which is fiberglassed on the back so it fits right in the corner.

Yeah, went to the Pavilions meet tonight, no problem blasting my music, however as I left I was pulled over for 28-931A and 28-931B

That cop deserved to be hung from a tree by his nuts! If you were speeding and got a ticket for those then ok, thats slightly understandable. If you get pulled just for that it bullsh!t. Just take a be4 and after pic to show the judge. He didnt even want to see the pics when I took them like a yr ago for the same thing. Steve has also had the same thing happen a while ago . You will be let off (if its your first fix it ticket) and just wast an hr of your time. Oh and steve, wtf are we doin up at this time?

How does it sound with the seats up... I have my two 12's facing towards the truck and was wondering if there are advantage/disadvantages to facing subs in or out..

It all depends on the box and the setup of the subs. We have the ports facing forwards, along with the sub which makes the bass waves hit off the front windshield and smack your ears. lol

A soundclip john? Soundclips wont work with bass, it will just sound distorted, how about you get off your a$$ and drive to mah house and listen to it!

Yeah, the amp is running hella hot right now, it could be because it is 100+ here and the fact that my music is always blaring! lol Glad to see that there are some audiophiles on these here boards.

I still can't get over how good that looks. You inspired me. I just ordered an Elemental Designs 12" and a HiFonics Zeus amp.

Looks sweet, my Orion amp looks a little like that. Unfortunately I blew one of my Infinity perfect 12's and can't decide weather to get another one or just get 2 of something else. Hopefully mine will look as sweet as yours when I can afford to get some speakers

Yeah you inspired me too, Im gonna get the JL audio 13.5" W7 and maybe ill get the components, ect.. I got sitting around at home installed too. BostonPro 6.5 componets should be enough to make ears bleed paired with a W7 Now the problem is its not gonna be in this car so ill do it as soon as I get the 03 (one of these days ) I know the soundclip wont work, the comp wont catch the soundwaves the speaker puts out, I was just messin around. Ill give you a call sometime this week at swing by to get my hearing slightly impaired.

LoL, thanks guys. Andy with all your previous audio work I cant wait to see how yours turns out. I feel bad about how many people rip on you about your misfortune with your maxima, but I have the same misfortune with cops so I'll feel your pain.

Looks like I wont have the loudest maxima around for long thanks to you andy and you john!

Sign my guestbook guys!

Dont worry, you'll hold the title in Az....for now. If there is anything im worried at all about its losing some of my hearing.
Ive heard the W7 13.5" from 3blocks away and it was pushed with a cheap 800watt amp. I cant imagine how loud it will be with the JL 1000/1 amp Yeah ill be deaf within a month.

Yeah, I'm just going with a ED 12" and a Sub Solutions single drivber box. Nothing too outlandish. 600 watts RMS.

Yeah, just heard a Navigator with 2 13w7s and I would have KILLED it in a real battle, so I'm not afraid. This kids setup was over $2400, makes it all worth while...

What amp did he have running it. The 1 I heard was a g-rigged setup and had a cheap amp and could be heard/somewhat felt a good 3blocks away. I gotta hear your setup, im wondering what kind of SQ the 15 is gonna have.

The "perceived" loudness will be higher with the subs firing into the trunk. More time inbetween waves before they hit your ears. The better spl/db number come from firing everything forward. The 2nd difference is Zach can play his subs all day long with the trunk open and still have great sound. With subs firing into the trunk, can't do that. Nothing for the waves to bounce off of. I expect SPL numbers from Zach to reach as high as 144ish Outlaw, 140ish legal off the dash with (1) 15.

Just curious, but why did you spend all that money on a Kicker amp to push the Reference line? You should have at least gone with the Kappa's or got something cheaper.

Looks WAY way tight though. Hopefully, some year I'll make it down to a meet and get to hear that baby in person.

Have you ever heard the Reference series? Goldmember, whose car was also done by Hrygeek and the others at DNDAutosound has the Kappas and they sound just as good as mine, I hear almost no difference. The reason I went with the reference is i got it from circuit city with a 2 year protection plan against everything, so I can play these speakers as loud as I want, if one blows, ah well I'll go pick up a brand new one for free.
