Injen + heat shield

I have an Injen intake and was wondering if any one has tried putting a heat shield over thier intake? I think it would help the performance because it would shield the intake tube from the engine heat. What do you think?

*smack*
heat shield "blocks" air coming from the engine and ONLY allows air from down under ergo cooler air enter the intake.

i think the real answer is NO ONE knows what performance addition or reduction a heat shield provides on the injen. you really can't say it can decrease performance cause that just doesn't make sense. if you're removing warm air from the intake, then that would increase. whether it actually works is a different story, but decreasing, no one can really say w/out something to prove it.
