I have a 2000 Max SE and would like to install a factory Nissan Nav System. I know it is bundled with the A/C unit and have been quoted $2897.00 for the hardware. Can I realistically install this with the proper wiring harness or am I smokin' dope? I'd rather do factory vs. aftermarket so that everything looks clean inside. If anyone has any reco's for other aftermarket options comparable to the price, please let me know. Thanks.

 

alpine and kenwood have an awesome navi systems.....the stock is doable, but it will cost you big to retrofit it

 

I called Nissan ( 1-800-Nissan1, I think this was the number) and spoke to some one in the navigation system menu. He told me that if it was not installed at the factory it could not be done.
