New member question

Hi,

Just found your website and signed up. This is great! I have 2001 SE 20th Aniversary and I just got a deal on a set of 16" Michelin snow tires. Does anyone know of cheap set of steel wheels that will fit for next winter?

Thanks,

I got mine from Tirerack.com. I bought the whole set though; tires, wheels, hubcaps and it was the best price around.

Yes, I bought plain jane, black steel wheels from them and then chose a hubcap that wouldn't look too bad. Here in Denver, the winter gets pretty bad. I did by the 16" wheel set up. It was cheaper to buy a taller 16" snow tire and wheel set up than to go with a stock size snow tire. The snow tire set up I got was the same height as the stock 17" tire and wheel height. You give away some of your handling with taller sidewalls, but then again, you got all four snow tires on and driving in the snow, who needs performance then?

I know I have 17" but I am planning to put 16" on for the winter because I got a good deal on 16" Michelen snow tires.
