Bose Cd Player Problem

I was wondering if anyone had the same problem with their MAX/.
I have a 2002 Max GLE with the BOSE system. I noticed whenever i play a CD no sound comes out of all the speakers on the driver side of the car. And sometimes if i hit a bump it will start working and then stop. When i switch to the radio or tapedeck there is no problem and everything works fine. I hate going to the dealer, they take forever and they dont give you a loaner.

There is a known issue with the CD wiring and a TSB. Take it to the dealer and let them know what's going on. They will replace your HU, so have them order one and keep your existing one while you wait for the new one to get in.

I am on my fourth Bose (whoops, should I say Clarion system) system. The first one skipped, the second one did work well when you first used the CD player, the third one didn't work at all and the fourth one is giving me the same problem you described in your post. I am thoroughly disgusted with this CD player. If it wasn't under warranty, I would definetly replace with a after-market system.
