Tein and KYB install..

My freind mechanic gave me a price of $370 bones to install the struts and teins and for an alignment. Seems like a good price, am I right? Is there any other equipment i need to give him to install the stuff?

Can you do the install yourself? It's really not that hard. I wouldn't pay more than $275 for all of that to get done.

Kinda pricy still...I think. My friends helped me out for free...well...except for the drinks...

Just make sure to let the spring settle before the alignment.

thats WAY expensive! After i installed my teins/GR2s my car tracked as straight as it did from the factory, so if installed right, you should not need an alignment. I have about 1500 miles on the setup, no unever wear.

This guy cant be a friend, a friend mechanic would do it for $150

Try to do it yourself. Its not hard at all, just have a buddy help you. You will need a spring compressor and an impact wrench. My install cost me $10 for the rental of a spring compressor!

thanks again guys, so the only thing i really got ot remember is to trim 2/3 of the bump stops for safety mesures.

Just keep an eye on your treadwear after a few weeks. By then the springs would have settled which is normally the time when uneven tread wear takes place.
