EBC "green stuff" brake pads

Has anyone had any luck with these? I have to put new pads on my car and was thinking of trying these or the "red stuff" pads. I was also looking at Hawk HPS pads. Let me know what you guys think.

Its $69 for just the fronts. They are suppose to be High performance and I have some on my bike (not the Green stuff model) and they work alright but I was wondering if people who use these or any high speck pad can tell the difference? Or is OEM just fine?

I had Green Stuff before. Braking was incredible, too bad it didn't last that long. It kinda messed up the rotors too. EBC Red's stop the same as the Green's they just last longer, they are a harder material so I would recommend getting upgraded rotors. I'm currently using the Reds.

well the reason i asked was because i wasn't sure if you were aware that maxima.org has a lifetime deal with porterfield. they're a high perf. racing brake components company. i ordered their brake pads and it retailed at 169 for the fronts and 110 for the rears. under the maxima.org price, i paid $136 shipped for a1ll 4 (or 126+whatever shipping, mine being $10). that's a little under $40 per side. it's a big discount for supposedly extremely powerful brake pads. i've donea search and most of the reviews raved at how good they were.
that's the only reason i asked. perhaps you might want to consider those as well. if you did order them, you would order the R4S model pads, it's one step above street use and one step below track use. prety much street circuit pads.
good luck with whatever you do.

oh wait, def. don't get OEM. there is a noticeable difference between any aftermarket pad and oem pads. oem's may dust less, but nothing has smooth, strong, non-jittery stopping power like aftermarkets.

Thanks for the info. I have sent them(porterfields) an e-mail and I think I would go with them if they give me the same deal. I was a little iffy on the EBC from what I have read they are for lighter cars and the RED STUFF gets a little pricy. By the way how is the stopping on with the porterfields, and are you running stock rotors?

they will give you the same deal. say you are part of maxima.org and you would like to purchase the R4S pads. they'll price you right then and there. good luck.
