I'm doing a 5spd conversion for on my 2000 soon and I have a few questions.

1) Are all the 2000/2001 parts on the 5-speeds with and without LSD the same (aside from the LSD tranny of course)? That is to say, can I use a 2001 AE 5spd LSD tranny with 2000 non-lsd 5spd drive shafts, starter, etc?

2) Do I need both drive shafts or just the left manual drive shaft? I ask because nissan said the right drive shaft is the same for autos and manuals.

Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

you will need both driveshafts.

 

yeop the lsd driveshaft is different from the non lsd driveshaft.. i forgot which one it was, i think it was the passenger side, that one is kinda hard to obtain.. i think kevin got the wrong one the first time.

So, the left drive shaft is the same for all 5spds and the right drive shaft is different for the LSD 5spd??? Can someone confirm this please?

I've managed to find everything but the starter and the driveshafts for a decent price. I just need to figure out whats what here, and buy the shafts and the starter. Is the starter the same for all models?

Someone please help me out here. I've search a bunch and cant find this info. I need to know this stuff asap, so I can order these parts.
