Clarion or Alpine screen?

I posted this in the Audio forum as well, I'm going to ask here to see if I can get more responces...

I'm looking at the Alpine IVA-D900... but someone suggested to get the Clarion VRX935VD...

I know the quality of Alpine, but I know nothing about Clarion... can someone offer their opinions?

The only differences between these two head units and screens are the Clarion offer more pre-amp power, and it's touch screen...

since you already have the nav, i'd go with the clarion.

i have only dealt with alpine since ive had great experiences with them. also they are the cleanest looking and are the easiest to use. i'm just saying clarion because it will save you a $$$$!!! but if you can get a nice deal with alpine, then get it. alpine has the best equipment, if you're into it. EQ, changers, etc.

check my homepage of the RX i picked up for my brother, all alpined out. any other brand looks ricey and tacky, IMO.

quality? maybe a little better but not extreme. no major problems with my alpine products. rarely, the screen gets stuck (just have to push the button again). but overall no major issues. Kenwood, i would never buy again.
