Suspension help...

re: 01 Max Sterling Mist- 100% Stock except...I just added a Cattman/Progress Rear Anti Sway Bar and a FSTB. The handeling is better but still not great. I'm not crazy about lowering it as I like the stock look and I don't want to rattle my teeth over bumps although I want it to handle better. Is there any Spring or Spring/Strut combo that will accomlish what I am looking for? Can I do just struts or just springs? What makes the biggest difference?
FYI- just had the "reflash" thing done to the ECU...CEL is off...for now. $70 Lynnes Nissan West, Stanhope NJ. Decent dealership. Also getting lousey gas milage- 18mph w/auto. Any suggestions? 51k. Full synthetic, clean air filter...dealer said no to plugs and yes to fuel injection cleaning.

I've been researching spring and shock combos for days. Try doing a search on springs or eibach or H&R and you'll come up with hours and hours ofreading material.

Here's one that i fonud useful to get you going:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ghlight=eibach

I've decided to go with H&R and KYB GR2 for my 2003 SE for a good blend of comfort and performance.

Good luck with your searching and decision.

lowering springs give lower center of gravity, for better handling...higher compression struts give better/firmer ride and less float..

I went with Maxspeed/KYB GR-2 combo....maxspeeds are almost identical to H&R except they are half the price and a bit lower drop...

Just installed Eibachs and KYB GR-2s and couldn't be happier. Got the perfect drop (not too low) and the ride seems almost stock even on bumps, unless drastic high or low bumps. Very happy.

I am pretty sure that H&R are softer and are a lot better in terms of quality. i wouldnt want to put 100 bucks springs on my car, its not an 89 civic you treat it like crap. you need to put some money to it lol

thats your uneducated opinion.....before purchasing maxspeeds I asked alot of questions on here about them...people have had them over a year, 20,000 plus miles no problems, EVEN ON STOCK STRUTS.

for you to be a fool and pay DOUBLE for the same ****, (actually mine are better because they drop more evenly) thats on you buddy...I for one consider myself a "smart" shopper....
