Ok, now when i bought the maxima, the person that sold me the car told me that the transimission in the maxima can be used as tiptronic, as in downshifting if you want to get that extra HP at a good RPM? - i was thinking, that say if your going like 50 mph from a roll, if you put it into second it tachs around 4500 or so - can the transmission in the 02's and 03's be used as a tiptronic? is it in essence a form of tiptronic?

Sorry they are not the same.

You can shift ANY automatic yourself if you want to, but it's def. not the "tap up, tap down" of TipTronic or AutoStick.

i would only shift between the 3 and the D, the 2 and 1 just done like being put into...
i dont know, it just doesnt feel right

bastards - anyways, i like the way it kind of feels like a tiptronic - i definatly start out in first and work my way up whenever street racing - btw second gear in the 4 speed pulls really hard in higher rpms
