Haha - my FIRST mod to the new Max...you're gonna laugh!

Actually, my FIRST mod was a coat of Mother's carnauba wax, so technically this is my 2nd mod...I was in AutoZone when something called "gel bulb sleeves" caught my eye. You know - they go over bulbs to change their color. For $2 I got a packet with 2 red, 2 green, and 2 blue. I just wanted the blue, to turn my interior light "body color". It worked! I'm such a rICeR

Maybe I'll use one of the red ones on my wife's turbo Cruiser (it's Inferno Red). I would do it just to hear what she says when she first notices it

As for more worthwhile mods...I have already paid for all 4 clear sidemarkers and they're on the way, and I get 20% Llumar tint all the way around this Thursday

hey man...sorry to burst you bubble but wax is not really a mod...its a way to clean you car...

mod stands for "modification" like if you were to replace your exhaust or y pipe or test pipe...things among those lines... or...bulb condoms...see...thats a mod!

haha, leave him the f**k alone! At least he's modding his car! haha Nice job putting the blue condom on the light, which one did you do it on, the dome light? You can do this same thing on the keyring, did it to mine and it looks SWEET.

Can't you just color the light bulbs with a Sharpie(permanent marker)?

it works on airplanes, why not cars?

A good wax job netted this airplace engough increase in performance that they calculate it would have taken an extra 8.3 HP increase in the engine to get the same results.

Take a wild guess with a car, a good wax-on wax-off job could net you 2-4 HP in reduced drag.

Ok ok, I don't SERIOUSLY consider waxing a mod - I was bein a wise@ss
As for the definition of a mod...I think I got that covered - lets just say a lot of people who see my Miata have no idea what kind of car it even is

Oh, and yes I did the dope light...was thinkin of doing the maplights as well, but I actually use those to see

Also - that's pretty sweet about the airplane! My grandpa always said "a clean car drives better", and I firmly buy into that theory

I knew you were joshin, I thought it was funny some folks took it serious.

But hey, technically, based on what it does for airplanes, wax ins't even a RiCe upgrade since it actually improves performace. Just don't hang any neon lights under the car during your mod craze, now that's effin

Sheeeyat, there's no chance of that, don't worry.
Or neon license frames, neon shifters, neon antennas (oh wait - I don't even have an antenna! ), 3' high aluminum wings, or giant yellow TYPE-R stickers

However, those little hood scoops and fender vents are kinda

Ahhh yes - ZAINO...that stuff is wildly popular with the Miata folks, too, but I have yet to try it. I'll have to see what all the buzz is about

Is the keyring light an oblong "tube" like the domelight, or is it a little "nub" of a bulb like sidemarkers?

If it's a tube I have an extra blue "bulb rubber" I could use
