How much does that thing weigh? Shipping seems kinda steep there.

Tax killed me... $172.51 (8.5% for me), so shipping was about $7.

Not sure when I'm going to install it. Hopefully this weekend, but that's a maybe.

Doh... forgot about tax... next time have it shipped to me... I'm outta state. Then again, you might not ever see the part again.

Hahaha... Ship to you, then to me? I'll save me a few bucks, but I sort of want my mod.

So I haven't looked at my pulley... how does it compare to stock? Do you think a typical Nissan mechanic would notice it? Also.. I asked on a different thread that got buried, any idea what install would run at a speed shop?

I got the black pulley so it won't be so noticeable <b>IF</b> I need to get warranty work done. If you looked at <a href=http://grprete.jnet.net/Greg's%20Garage/1999%20Nissan%20Maxima%20SE/1999%20Nissan%20Maxima%20SE%20-%20Underdrive%20Pulley.htm target=_top>GregP's site</a>, he took a picture of the two pulleys side by side. If I recall correctly, the stock pulley is 5 lbs. I also haven't weighed the URP.

IMO, it isn't noticeable unless you're looking for it. It's so dark in that area anyways that the mechanic will glance right over it.

Not sure how much it'll cost for the install, but from what I've read in the instructions, it should take 1-3 hours.

Pulley will be 20-30% smaller than stock. The Unorthodox Racing site, I believe, tells the proper belt size for all their pulley applications. Also comes with the instructions. FWIW - the pulley is a lot more expensive from UR. Something like 235 if I recall.

Ali, as Max_Gator said, the pulley comes with instructions and tell you which belts to get. The specifically say Gates _______ (fill in blank with the numbers you see in the picture).

The pulley is lighter and smaller than stock.
