Just picked up some Integrals

I have been shopping for a good price for some decent wheels for a few months now. This morning there were five 18x8 SSR Integrals on ebay for $850 shipped in good condition. I couldn't resist. I am kinda excited and just wanted to share my joy.

SSR Integral eBay listing

...What tires are you looking to slap on those bad boys? You should definitely go 245/40r18 because that will give you the best speedo accuracy, not to mention the best grip and handling.

Does Mich. Pilot Sport A/S come in 245/40r18???

Unfortunately due to financial constraints I will probably purchasing something less expensive than Pilots for now. I was thinking Nitto NT555's, Yokohama EVS100's, or Kumho Ecsta 712's. But I will be definitely getting 245/40/18's

The Nittos rule, I seriously love them. The price was great and they are pretty damn good. I think I got them for 135 a tire few months back

I wanted the GT1's but at $400 a wheel I couldn't afford it. On the other hand, 5 Integrals at half the price, I was all over it.

...Just make sure the guy isn't hosing you. If the wheels are bent or really scratched up... There are a lot of dishonest people on Ebay, and a lot of good people. You never know what you are going to get there. All I am saying is, if it sounds too good to be true... It usually is. What is this guys story that he feels good about selling five really nice 18" wheels for only $850? Just make sure you get the whole story 'bro... I would hate it if you got taken for $850 on a bum set of wheels...

I thought about that. But he has excellent feedback, they look good in the pics and he did mention one has a 3 inch surface scratch. He seems to be on the up and up. We shall see one way or another, they will be here next week.

...Thats cool, sounds like you have done your homework, I am just paranoid. Sounds like you got a really good deal. If one has a big scratch, you just use the best 4!

They arrived today. They are in very good shape. The scratch/rash mentioned in the listing is hard to see unless you are very close.

However, one thing the listing did not mention and I almost didn't notice until I was washing them, is that two of them have a slight bend on the inside lip.

PLEASE look at the pic of the bend and tell me if you think it will be a problem or not.

don't know how much those dings'll affect the ride. but i'm sure something like that can be repaired at a rim shop. at least now you know why they were so cheap, this guy prolly hit something on the road pretty good. i'd recommend the yoko's for the rim guards. don't know if the nittos have em.

I think you still got a deal, the small dents shouldnt be a problem once you mount some tires and balance them.

I hope so. I don't to wait to have them fixed. I have been waiting for these since last week and want to have them on my car by noon on Saturday.

I just tracked my tires, they are out for delivery and my wife isn't leaving till they get there.

Serin, I did get the Nitto's. I not sure if they have the rim guards, but I never touch curbs anyway...

Any more opinions on the two tiny dents being a problem or not are welcomed.

Nice choice.. I have them in 17's.. Don't break one of them. I broke mines and it cost like $300 to replace. They don't make these rims anymore.. There discountinued.

...I still think you got a good deal, but pay very close attention to the quality of the ride and any 'wheel shudder' so that if it is noticable you really should go get the bends fixed. I would put those rims on the back of the car so that the weight pressure isn't as great on them. If the bends make the tires run shabby it can cause really bad tire wear in an uneven pattern. I don't think those bends look too bad, bu like I said just be very sensitive to how they ride the first few days, your 'butt dyno' should be able to tell you if they need repair... Good luck and the front faces look great!

Thanks for the advice. I am also gonna ask the people at the rim shop where I am gonna get the tires mounted. Also since I have the extra brand new wheel, I would only have to use one of the wheels with a bend.

Hobert....most definitely the bends will affect road performance and ride......have them repaired if possible...If not, re list them on ebay

Those wheels can't be repaired. What you can do is send them to me and I will scrap them for the metal. How bout I give you $100 for the scrap now.
