Question about TPS and OBD II
Anyone happen to know what the reading should be on OBD II scanner(%) when the throttle is wide open? I am trying to see if there is something wrong with my TPS. It takes several seconds to show movement on the scanner and it only shows 88% at wide open throttle. Is this normal?
I think the nominal value is 4V @ WOT, but I think Avalonracing once reported it only going to 3.8v at WOT.
Two things I'd suggest before hitting the panic. Make sure your throttle cable is adjusted properly and measure again.
The second, if I remember correctly is that scanners don't necessarily update at the same speed the device provides data so that may be the cause of the update lag you're seeing.
hope that helps
