If ur gonna get VIS OEM or Invader ur gonna hav to be cautious all the time when u close the hood......not to push the center wit ur palm of ur hand too hard......cuz it'll crack. I hav crack on mine and also another org member hav the same crack in the center jus like mine. I'm not sure how's the quality diff with CustomMaxima's CF hood.....

I have a VIS and although its a beautiful hood, I've only had mine on for about 2 weeks now and it cracked because I pressed the hood down too hard.... Angie sells one too. I'm thinking checking into hers because I'm a bit disappointed.

Yeap.. That would be me with the other cracked hood... The 1st gen Vis has bad fitment issues.. I know Vis is coming out with a Gen2 OEM hood which should have better fittment. So ask them if they have it available if your gonna get a Vis one

How long did u hav ur hood?? I was probably the first one on org with that invader hood....I bought mine for $510 shipped.....the hood alone was $380 they charge me $130 shipping and handling to business. Yupp the other guy I mentioned earlier is PcGuru he hav the same crack. BTW I didn't push down that hard, just hard enuff to close the hood completely. Eventually u'll hav the same problem later on so from now on just don't push the hood down too hard.....

sorry to hear about the hood... i've only had mine a bit over a month. Only reason i used to push it down hard was when it was new the fitment was a lil' tight. Eventually due to the heat in l.a. the hood must've remolded itself(don't ask how). Now it closes easier than the stock hood.
