CCx I guess this car was from a rental company, anyone get a maxima from one of those places. Also from my looking at maxima's it seems as if the rental car are sorta base down, as in no leather or bose.

i was scared mine came from a rental but found out it wasnt. woohoo.. Id personally stay away from rentals.. people like me drive them at times

ive heard nothing but good from rental car owners, especially maximas.
1. using lower ocante gas will not hurt your max
2. newer cars do not need a formal break in period
3. maxima was not cheap to rent! so mostly went to families and execs.
4. ive beat up on rentals also, but 90% of my driving was normal
5. many are scared to punch rentals because they are not used to it.
6. id rather have a rental, than a car from most here on the org (i wish carfax told that story... 'previous owner was a maxima.org member')
7. although, the only option SOME rentals have is the sunroof, most are base... though you can get sweet deal from hertz.
note: i wouldnt buy a saturn or dodge as a formal rental... those pieces of crap go to the worst drivers possible.

I'm kinda on the fence about buying rental cars.... I have friends who treat rentals as "Drive it like you stole it" and others who actually drive normally. You never know how they've been treated. That's why rental car places usually get rid of them around 20k miles.
