Kayak Rack

Looking into getting a kayak, and I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with a kayak rack on a 5th gen.

I have a 2K SE with the sunroof (shade still attached). The kayak will be a 14' or 16'. I saw that Thule has some products but their website was not very helpful in explaining exactly what I need.

Any help is appreciated.

I carry 3 mountain bikes on my roof mounted Yakima rack. I know Yakima also has kayak attachments. Check out www.yakima.com.

I keep the rack on from April to October. Takes me about 10 minutes to take off and 1 hour to put back on (including the 3 bike attachments). Doesn't leave any scratches on roof (if you are careful). I recommend the wind-faring to reduce noise.

Good luck.
