I am posting this here because there is no Group Deal yet, just seeing there is enough interest to warrant a group deal.
On the suggestion of some of my customers, I contacted manufacturers concerning Red/Clear tail lights for the 5th generation.
I am happy to report that this can happen, without a doubt. Unlike other items that have been attempted to be made, this will definitely happen. I just need to see if there is enough interest in them. I do not want to invest all this money to have it not sell.
There is also a red/red option, that I am attaching a picture of. The red clear will look the same except the bottom section of red will be clear.
How many people are willing to pre-order (at a discounted price) their tail lights to help offset the costs? It will take 3 weeks to make and 3 weeks to get here. So figure 6-7 weeks to arrive on your doorstep.

I like my body color painted ones, so sweet and since it's 01, no orange anyway. By far the sweetest way to mod the rear end

 

I would be interested in the red clear...but i doubt anyone would pay fro the red on red because they can jsut take their stock ones and paint the orange part red so u will lose money there so jsut invest mroe into the red clear

No pictures of the red clear unfortunately. They are gonna be made from scratch.. They will look exactly like the red/red except red/clear in where that big red circle is...

MaxMoJo...where are the housings coming from? Are they OEM? I have the titanium package so I already have the silver housings, I just need to get a clear lens to replace the ugly orange that's in there.

 

all 2002 and 2003 have the silver housings regardless wether you have the titanium package or not

 

They are not OEM, they are being completely manufactured, not just the clear part. So I can not just get you the clear lens.

Right now, there is nothing that I can do with the pricing. It is costing a lot to get these made.

Given the response so far, I'm not convinced its worth the investment for myself right now..

 

I don't think that's true. Aren't there 2k2-2k3s with black housings and red/clear circles? I think there are 2 or 3 of them sitting in the parking lot of my building right now.

 

no that means they changes them because i know for a fact that all 02-03s have clear altezza looking lights

 

I believe those are 2k and 2k1 rear tailights.

i'd def be interested in the red/clear but i'd like to see how they fit. I've noticed other cars with altezzas don't always fit perfectly. Would the blinker still be yellow?

 

The blinker would depend on the bulb that you have in there.
As for seeing how they fit, I have no way of testing that, as these lights do not exist yet.
All I can say is that the manufacturer also produces aftermarket OEM-style taillights. Those fit, right?

 

I am very interested in the red/clear ones.I have a black 2k1 and I completely blacked out my tails, and I love um, and no one else has um, but the clear housings are nice. There is no way I could see a pic? Maybe if some one could photoshop the red/clear on a black max, I would be sure. If some one can do this for me I would really apreciate it.

I hate mine with the orange blinker. I was looking at getting the 01 black tails but my friends think I should keep the ones I have because theyre chrome. I'd most likely buy a pair of the red/clear depending on how well they fit and all.

Ok, you see how the clear is not really clear but WHITE?! The lights that are going to be manufactured, will they be clear/red or white/red?

I want clear/red. SO the clear in the light matches the housing.

Is there any way to pop off or break the orange piece in the 02-03 clear tails, or would it ruin the whole tail light?

 

 

You will break the lens Prodigy. I made my own red/white lens and posted pics of the tail lights a couple of months back but they look too Alteeza to me. Since then I've painted the OEM lens all red, 2 coats of candy apple red on the outside and inside of the lens and painted the chrome a semi-gloss black. The top and the bottom are a exact match. It looks alot better than the guys who just used the paint on the inside of the lens.

true to that....ill testify...my 2003 has the euro style lights with the silver...and i think i remember all the ones at the dealership having them as well
