Qeustion on Stillen

I just got off the phone with Stillen and I got quoted a price of about $2160 for the following items.
1)Stillen Exhaust
2)Stillen intake
3)Unorthodox udp w/belts
4)Eibach pro-kit springs
5)Tokico shocks and struts
6)Stillen Front and rear strut tower braces
7)Stillen Rear sway bar
The only reason I can buy all this at once is that I just got back from Kuwait/Iraq and it was tax free while I was over there so I banked alot of money. Also I'm planning to buy some 18's with Nitto tires.

My question is this. What are the negatives of any of those items and is that a good price? I did go online and the guy at Stillen seems to be taking about $150 of the total price.

I think there are better options out there for exhaust(Greddy, OBX, Cattman) considering the Stillen is only a rear section and sounds kinda ricey(according to other threads). Since you live in a warmer, dry region you may want to consider a CAI like Injen or PR, more HP. Also it appears you're going all out, so you might want to think about coilovers(Tein, JIC, Progress/Cattman) instead of shock/spring combo. Altogether the price seems reasonable though. My $.02. Thanks and welcome back.

There really arent any negatives to any of those parts as they've all been tested and made to fit your car with no problems. If you like you can send an email to sales@southwestautoworks.com and we might be able to get you a better price.

1) This is a very good setup though you will probably want to get a resonator put in the B-pipe to get rid of the drone.
2) This is also good but you should be able to save some $$ on the JWT Popcharger, it is the same. A good intake mid pipe from Frankencar or Firm Fabrications.
3) You can save a good bit on a UDP from DMS.
4&5) I don't have much info on suspention, but I would you would be able to save on this stuff by getting it else where.
6) Most people will tell you that you don't need the rear STB.
7) This is a good one but I also here good things about the one Cattman carries, which also costs less.

Good luck & welcome home!

I would get the cattman Y pipe instead of the stillen rear section exhaust (unless you already have it) the frankencar intake w/apexi filter costs like 10 dollars more than the stillen hi flow and you will get 2-3more HP But definately get the rear sway bar thats a must

Does the Stillen really sound ricey?? I'm thinking about getting an exhaust soon but i want one w/ a low tone to it not that high pitch sound you hear on civics..

Well thanks to Y2KSESteve I got a better deal through him. Anyway all the parts should be here in 7-10 business days. Once I get everything on I plan to go down into Florida and dyno my car. Also once Stillen releases the headers I'm going to get those also. So stay tuned for project 1Badmax.

The majority of what I have read on the ORG is that the Stillen has a ricey sound to it as does the OBX. More then likely due to the very small resonators that they due or don't have. I know from experience that the Greddy is loud and civic like. A friend has the HKS rear with "custom" "B" pipe on an '03 and it is deep and nice sounding. I have the Cattman from the cat back with an Injen intake. I had the exhaust on before the intake and there was only a small difference in the overall tone of the car, almost stock just deeper and rumblier. Most of my noise comes from the intake now.. but still pleased with it. Hope this helps.

If you shop around some more I bet you would save quite a bit of money, stillen tends to charge quite a bit more than .. uhm, every other online aftermarket parts company.
