Injen installed for 3 hours and.......I get pulled over

....for speeding. 66 in a 55 zone. Man it was sounding good...was on a back road (where I have never seen any cops) Had the road to myself. Got up to a bit over 80 in 3rd and then backed off. Crested a hill and there he was. (my Passport 8500 was in my other car)

I'm not sure why he said only 66...maybe he was giving me a break...I was old enough to be his dad. Anyway...got off with a warning. Maybe cause I've had a clean record for 15 years?

I consider myself lucky that I didn't get a ticket. From now on I think I'll just stop at second gear and save 3rd, 4th and 5th for the track!!!!

jeez, that sucks man... Don't be discouraged, I get away with alot worse then that. Your car may be alot more noticable when revving now, so be careful in uncertain areas, but don't let that take away from you and your fun. Screw that stupid cop : ] enjoy the car!

I'll still have fun, Marc. But I will be more careful. Should have had my Passport, tho.

there's this tight overpass near my house... sides are right up against the road... since the injen install I keep flooring it in 2nd at 35mph or so just to hear it when I go under the bridge.

I'm waiting for there to be a cop on the other side but so far I've been lucky. It just sounds soooooo good

Take it from another Injen owner, resistance is futile!

fight it, he said 65 because he didnt know how fast you were going - but in the future, only run the Maxima on the way back, after you've scouted the road

I am very familiar with that stretch of road and I used to drive it one way to check it out and then run it coming back. They are cracking down on speeding in my area, so I have no one to blame but myself. Fortunatly it's only a warning...I'd fight it if it was a ticket, cause you're right, he may have not really had me.

whenever I pull out from my house I have to stomp on the pedal just so the neighbors fully understand the power of my VQ coupled with my Stillen Hi-Flo!

ha Ha, when I pull outta my drive way sometimes I pull 2nd gear to 5000RPM just to hear my VQ roar, but when my neighbor pulls out in his pretty new Firebird WS6, my VQ sounds so like nothing......V8 rumbles like hell! I just tell myself, think of how much gas you are saving compare to his V8 lol, pretty nice guy though~~

You're right about cops busting down in the area lately. Cruise control has been my friend. You just never know where those smokies are hiding.

I never really noticed before I had the car on the dyno, but you should hear the Injen come alive in the 6-6.5k range! It starts screaming. I actually took a step back from the car on the dyno the first time I heard it!
