Computer Module upgrade!!

Well I dont know if this has circulated through the .org yet but here it is anyway. I was browsing through alti.net when I came across this thread stating some1 had just got a comp mudule upgrade which comes in two stages: Stage one claiming 10hp and 2 claiming 17hp and these are UP TO figures so I cant say how accurate they are.
Its been installed on a 3.5 alit 5spd and dont see any reason as to why it would not work on the 3.5 max, yet alone any max for that matter since this is a univeral unit.

Here is the link to were you can get this from: http://www.nextlevelracing.com

As for dyno proven gains, well I do not belive he has gotten a dyno done to prove the gain but he says it definetly works

The stage 1 box retails for $39.95 and stage 2 is $74.95 so the prices seem to be fairly reasonable.

Here is were you can find the thread over at alti.net that covers the subject in slightly more detail.

Im just hoping this does not turn out to be a dumb fluke like the Jet ECU upgrade or that stupid tornado crap which all claimed gain but proved nothing.

Just figured I might just relay this along and see if any1 here is interested in tryin this out to see if it works out for themselves.

Well id think some1 here gave a damn about a new mod or should I say diff mod and might just want to make a comment on it or something of that sort...but I guess not Why does my bumping of a thread bother you that much?

it doesn't... I was just curious.

I read the whole thread and bet it's going to turn out to be another JET fiasco. Two installed, no dyno, and both claim 10-15hp gains??? Either there was something wrong with their cars that this "fixed" or they're just trying to justify spending $75.

Well you do have a point there, I have not exactly bought onto this not belive it...yet (that is to be proven) That is why Ive told the guys 3 times not GET YOUR CAR DYNO'd I dont belive the gains til I see them. I still dont understand why poeple make claims w/o being able to back them up. I would have gotten a dyno, then posted about it if the gains were there. It may or may not turn out to be crap like JET but from his explaining of how it works it just does not add up to me. Needs proof.

let's see dyno graphs. Lots of people were duped in the Jet fiasco.

BTW i have a wire you wrap around your intake that gives 5hp. $29.95 shipped. no dyno graphs yet. but i feel the 5hp!

one word... "justification"... but "embarassed" works, too.

people need to know they didn't just waste $75 or $750. Honestly if Autozone sold that $75 thing I'd buy it and try it for a month and see if I noticed a change (mileage, pickup, sound, etc), but if I was spending $750+ I'd definitly dyno for the extra $50 and make sure it actually did some good.

it sounds like it does what other kits do like modifying what the vehicle sensors and in turn modifies a/f mixture and shift points; It takes it off the stoich amt that the car gives, sort of like its a preprogrammed SuperAFC for your car.

I would test it for you all if they gave a money back guarantee.

It programmed for the s4 cams, and without it the car would idle like $hit. Im going to believe that it works, dont ruin it for me!

JWT is not hated as much as JET. JET chips dont do anything..I know the JWT ECUs work on the older early mid 90s nissans..

Most people claiming that the JET chips are bogus, don't own one... The few guys that actually coughed up the money to buy the chip upgrade, really like it.

Anyone ever hear of credit cards? Buy it, dyno it & return it if it's crap! Your credit card guarantees satisfaction, or your money back... it doesn't matter what the vendor claims on the website.

As far as this particular product goes: if they aren't willing to accept Credit cards, I wouldn't put much faith into their R&D team. I mean common, PAYPAL only payment method?... soundz toooo cheesy to be a legit company with a decent product.

Thats what is claimed on the site, I told the guy several times just get the dyno and his respose as you can see is we stoped caring about the non-belivers, this is now my secret weapon. Im 100% sure about one and only one ECU upgrade that would work but its some $$$, the A32 and A33 Platform Programmable ECUs which are somewhat prototypes but nearly impossible to get your hands on. Those would also require sereval sessions on a dyno to make everything work toghether as a system to boost overall whp but that more for the serious player what has nothing better to spend his cash on. Not worth in IMO unless your doin Drag only, even then it would be smarter to resort to other means of making power.

02MaXiMa_GLE: So does that man you are volunteering to try this out and get a dyno? You can always return it right, remember...credit card!
