I bought a new 03 max 6 months ago. There is a noticable delay when I hit the gas peddle before the transmission kicks in. I mainly notice it when I'm stop and I hit the gas, or it I have to suddenly excelerate. Does anyone else have this problem? What was done about it at the dealership?

 

Reset your ECU

 

I read something about having a software upgrade done to the ECU. Is that something done by the dealer? How do you reset the ECU?

I thought this hesitation was normal with our maxes because of the electronic gas pedal?

How often does one reset the ECU?

Studman-I tried it, it did not work. I have a 2003 SE, is it different from the 2002?

The SES never flashed during the test.

 

You gotta do it perfectly, otherwise it wont work. Use the trip timer and your life will be alot easier
