Got Drop?? (Maxspeed vs Teins)

So two of NYC's Finest 3.5 crew members met up last night for a little photo shoot of our whips with the drops...

92SER and myself were the two cars present.

92 SER has the Tein drop and I with the Maxspeeds....in all seriousness the drops in person are very very close....there is no HUGE difference like people say:

here are two pix... I have plenty more:

any opinions/comments appreciated

i've been thinking about this. i have 235 50 17's on my car, which does a pretty good job of filling out the wheel wells. i'm not sure i would want to drop any further than the maxspeeds.

235 + maxspeeds = a "tein-like" drop.

the actual difference is maybe .5" in front and .25" in back...nothing HUGELY noticable...altho I think 235/50 would rub on teins in back....

I just put maxspeeds and Tokicos on my car. I wanted something that would get rid of the wheel well gap, but yet would not look "lowered" to the everyday joe. (also, my wife would pi$$ and moan if it had the lowrider look)

The handling is awesome, the ride is just a touch more firm than stock, and my car looks 10 X better. I'll take new pics once she's clean.

Have you ridden in your buddy's car? If so, how do the Tein's ride?

That's the same way I felt when I went with the H&R. I just wanted to get rid of most of the wheel gap, but I don't like the lowrider look. So the Teins would be a no go for me. Unlike most I like the drop of Maxspeeds, H&Rs, and Eibach way more than the Tein look.

ive got the same tire size with the maxspeeds and it looks perfect to me. im thinking of going to a 235/45/17 when i replace the michelins to find some comparbale less expensive tires.

I was surprised as well. The maxspeeds in person dont look 1/2 bad! The tein drop in the front was where the big difference was. Thats why the tein drop is more "even" like people say..

what i meant to say was the black car, although less modified (appearance wise) looks better...just my opinion....but i do like the silver color. just not a fan of the big truck series type grills.

both of the rides look impressive with the springs, my question is how are the progressive springs they sell at custommaxima do they compare to the ride of the teins or maxspeed, i have a 2k1 with the 16's stock, whats the best springs to eliminate the ride height as well as comfort and best appearance??

Eibach's with Tokicos.

I think I have too much wheel gap with my Maxspeeds/GR2 setup...what do you think? I either want to cut my Maxspeeds or get the Teins.

after looking at both cars in these photos and seeing Teins and Maxspeeds and Eibachs in person, Im going to swap out of my Maxspeeds for some Teins - it just looks too good in person; makes the stance look a lot more aggressive.

both of those drops are tight but i dont think u can compare them cuz they are for 2 diff type of people the tien is more of the racer lowrider look which is nice of course but not everybody likes it but the maxspeed drop is more of jus trying to fill the wheel gap and get some better handling which is also nice so its up to the individual

but my props to both and 92se-r to bad we dont ahve sigs anymore cuz damn!! your sig pic was hott
