Tell him to get the guy and ask him for a copy of the timeslips so that you can scan them and post them here.

Without a built motor he won't be able to really push over 12psi... So I says he's pushing in the high 300's..

if we gutted Mardigrasmax's car, will he be able to push it into 10s? I remebered Superstree mag. gutted a sentra all the way to the frame and got a fat 2 second gain. (from 16.xx to 14.xx)

he posted his dyno result not long ago. there's a limit for 5th gens because of the injectors and ecu. if we kept increasing boost pressure, we will have to raise fuel pressure for more fuel supply. Without larger injectors, you will max out the stock ones when you push over 100 psi of fuel into it. And there's no modified ecu for TC/SC 5th gens too.

Not just that, but I thought the Vegas strip was high elevation and hot as hades, that would make those numbers look even more unreal

No FWD Maxima will see a 10.78 1/4-mile. Make it RWD and I'd say MAAAAAAYBE.

There will be a RWD V8 maxima pushing 600 hp with nitrous... Time of completion is still up in the air.

That's NOT a Maxima!!!!!

Just because you paint a fiberglass shell to look somewhat like the car it's supposedly started life as, doesn't mean it is.

There is a point at which the car no longer can be called what its manufacturer intended, such as drivetrain swaps, engine transplants, and body swaps. I'd say Mardigras is DEFINITELY still rolling a Maxima.

LVMSW is 1/4 mile and I have never seen this car but would like to. The track is about at 2100ft and was about 100 last night with high humidity/thunderstorms. That is a low 10 car under better conditions if this is real.

BTW what was his mph?

Using a standalone ECU or a piggy back like the Unichip could solve any ECU limitations - so that part can be done.

But, I still smell B.S.

I live in Las Vegas and run there about every weekend in the points bracket race events they have. I have a lot of good contacts out there. And I've sure I can flip through the tech cards to find out who this guy is. All I want to do is confirm this run. I will get to the bottom of this.

Also, about Vegas conditions... my NA VE Auto runs 14.80's at sea level in 50 degree weather. In Vegas, it's 2010' elevation with crappy 100 degree temps right now and low pressure. Last weekend, I ran consistant 16.61s. BUT, I've seen SRT-4s run 14.1 STOCK in Vegas with crappy 85/90 degree temps. Stock times for those things are suppose to be 13.9. So, for turbo cars, the altitude doesn't really kill the times as much as NA cars.

Anyway, I will try my best to find out about his Turbo 5th gen. If he ran at the strip, there is a tech card for him.

Sup Kam. I HIGHLY doubt it too. I still posted something on the LVDR site to see what others saw. If ANY Maxima ran at the strip, I am still curious about it. Now if it was a Turbo Maxima, even if he ran 14s, I am still curious. But like you said, I'm very sure it's bogus.

that ish doesnt matter though... If the car is turboed it will compress the air down so even if ur on top of everest the same amount of air would still be pumped in by the turbo
