UPDATE: 800-Nissan-1 on Brakes (long)
Well, for those of you following my ongoing saga with Nissan on my warped rotors (AT 15,000 M!!!) I have a brief update. The rep I spoke w/ on Monday told me that I would be getting a call back within 4-5 days. Today is the 5th day, so I decided to call back. I spoke with the same guy. He put me on hold and called the dealer (he obviously had done nothing in the 4 days I had been waiting), and basically puppeted what the dealer told him. That it was beyond 12 months, 12,000 miles. He tried to tell me that it was a wear and tear item. I then proceeded to argue that at 15,000 miles with plenty of pad left, that it was not wear and tear, but a DEFECTIVE PART. He continued to argue and told me that he had never heard nor was able to find any info on the brake judder TSB (I gave him the EXACT number of the TSB on Monday). So then I come here, find the TSB and begin reading it to him. He then becomes interested and asked me to read him the address so he could see the TSB as well. I did so, and he advised me that "he was glad I pointed this out as he previously had nothing to take to his warranty contact". Anyway, he told me he would look into it and call me back either today or Tuesday ("Mondays are very busy.") *sigh* I will let you know what he tells me.

our 2K2 had warped rotors at 800 miles.
The dealer resurfaced them but I had him note that rotors would be covered under warranty if the resurfacing did not work
(it never does since it actually removes surface area and leads to inefficient heat dissepation)
The brakes warped again at 15K miles and front rotors and pads were replaced under warranty.
It seems Nissan/Infiniti has major brake issues. I am looking to buy a G35 but many people are told by dealers that getting brakes replaced at 15K miles is 'normal'!!!!

Seriously, best of luck to you. I had mine warp at around 6000miles and they were resurfaced. Luckily I upgraded to a big brake kit, or else I'd be wondering when the front rotors would warp again!

I had mine warp at 1000 miles...and that's only because that's the first time I hit them hard at high speed (was in the break in period before that). I'm convinced that they left the factory warped.
My dealer just resurfaced them and refused to replace the pads. I was very dissapointed with this approach and will probably prevent me from getting another Nissan in the future. They don't wobble anymore, but resurfacing them has probably taken off about 10,000 miles of life. Also, the pads will probably just warp the rotors again.
When I need to get new brakes, I'll probably get the PowerSlot ones. We just put a set on my buddy's Accord and they are nice and shiney
*edit* Nissan USA wasn't any help either....just a waste of time when I called.

I dunno..all of this for rotors and/or pads.....
To me, rotors/pads and wear items that of course go with time and mileage of course with harder braking habits (like me) they go faster...to me there is no replacement for aftermarket brakes...
I intend to replace them as soon as I get the funding..right now I am working on rims...

I was reading on the Q45 FA forum that this guy had a '02 Q45 with 15K miles and warped rotors. Infiniti and dealer said is was normal wear and tear and beyond 12K miles and charged him $$ to resurface. Infiniti also has a TSB out on rotors for some of their cars including the Q. So don't feel too bad. At least you didn't spend $50K+ to be treated like you bought a Max.
