Wheel hop!!! Another night at the track, new best time for me but still disappointed

Okay guys.. its so strange...

First off, my 2k3 really has bad wheel hop...

History: Runs with my 2k2, all stock, no mods, stock tire pressures

Consistent 14.6s 1/4 times @ 97mph

Friday: Runs with my 2k3, H&R springs, frankencar w/apexi, stock tire pressure, and full stereo systema and spare

1st and 2nd run: 15.2 sec @ 98.6mph and 15.12 sec @ 96mph

Runs with my 2k3, H&R springs, Frankencar w/apexi, 20psi front tires, and removed my stereo system and spare

3rd and 4th runs: 14.54 sec @ 93mph and 14.6 @ 95mph

The sad part is that my 2k3 is slower than my 2k2 ... and the wheel hop is brutal.. 1st run, my tranny popped out of 1st from the wheel hop and my body kit fell off (front left bumper..) had to pop it back in..

I thought iwth H&R's it would be better in wheel hop curing, but nope it isnt..

Does anybody know if engine mounts work to fix wheel hop? I know a guy selling place racing mounts.. does the 2k-2k1 fit 2k3?

Sell it and get a G35.... I just spent a 30 minute session with an asswipe sales ***gg explaining why the G35 hooks up better ....

I heard the G35's are actually pretty hard to launch and get good times..

Well i give up on drag racing now.. i now realize that i can never get better than mid 14's and thats what my car is..

No sense in damaging my tranny, when it already feels very awful..

To get mid 14's is well done.

i am pretty sure that if you practice your launch...you'll get a little bit better times without damaging the tranny

Increase the air in the front tires a bit to around 25psi, and learn to slip your clutch out better. Its a bit hard to explain, but there is an art to slipping the clutch out, (riding it) so your the wheel hop isn't that apparent, even after higher RPM launches.

It really all boils down to a bunch of practice, and feeling the car out.
