Tire recommendation: Falken Ziex ZE512

What do you guys think of these tires..

All i saw were praises on these tires.. My dad's Mercedes E320 4matic suffered froma tire blow out, and these tires are cheaper and much better according to reviews..

I have a set that is practically brand new left over from my 4th gen that I'm putting on the AE ASAP. Love em. My third set of Falkens on as many cars although the others were different models (either GR-Bs or Ziex ZE502, maybe both in 16").

Potenzas just suck--can't wait to switch.

I just put them on my car with stock rims. I chose 235/45/17. Even though the aspect ratio went down a little, (smaller sidewall) the ride seems to be better than the Blowtenzas they replaced. Great traction in dry, and wet. It is raining pretty hard right now and I am on my way to work. I can't wait to see what they do with standing water. I highly recommend them.

UPDATE: I just drove in to work in torrential downpours...standing water, puddles, soaking rads. These tires handled GREAT. On my old tires, in the rain, I could break the tires loose at half throttle in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Not true with the Falkens, and with the old tires I would have been in the right lane white knuckled at 55. Today...70-80 left lane eating a bagle sandwich, drinking coffe, and steering with my knee. 'nuff said.

I am dealing with a set of Falken 512s right now that have developed a radial pull problem. I thought I liked them until my car started pulling to the right. I had the alignment checked and they said it was dead on... a tire was te problem. Discount tire has two replacements on the way. We'll see.

It sucks dealing this **** like this

How many miles before it started happening, and have you rotated them evey 5k or so?

Good tires

I've had these on my car now for close to 20K miles and they are wearing rather quickly. I have 245 40 18's and I think that I did not rotate them properly. They wore out pretty quickly for my taste. But for a cheap tire under normal handling conditions these tires are good. After the scary experience with the stock Potenzas, these tires performed great. In dry or pouring wheather I was impressed with the handling, especialy for the price.

My ZE-512's have less than 1000 miles on them. There is a defect in at least one of the tires. It's hard to figure out which one because they are directional so no cross rotation. If my alignment wasn't fine before I had them installed and checked after the install I would think it was an alignment problem. It has to be at least one tire that is bad and causing the push/pull. Discount tire will replace them, but what a pain in the *** it has been.

Hey how much are these tires going for. I have them and they were not cheap but everyone tends to suggest that they are good tires for the money. I have 245/35/19, can someone tell me the price that people are paying for this size tire so I can feel a little better for what I paid for then .

this past winter (which was comparably bad for NYC) I had my 02 altima with the 17" OEM 2k2 Maxima rims with stock blowtenzas....the tires wouldn't grip for ****...I found myself driving home at like 3 mph just so I could move...

Comparably, in my sister's 95 accord with the Falken Ziex 512's, I had NO PROBLEMS with traction....I drove 50mph in steady snowfall with about 10in on the ground and had NO TROUBLE whatsoever...

I just purchased my new set to go with my new rims...pix will be posted as soon as everything comes in

I don't see Falken making the 512 in that size. Are you sure you have 512's? in 245/35/19? Below are the largest 512's they make.

Okay, I am new to these tires maybe it's the FK or something.
But I swear it said ZEIX and I don't think it's the 502
