[rant]Please bid on the piece of my super restrictive stock cat-back[/rant]

Hi all: I am selling these three pieces of bpipe so I can start to save for a full cat-back. This is what I have:

no.1 is the piece right after the resonator. I dunno which one in Nissan corp came up with this idea: there is a bracket covering this portion of the bpipe and nissan engineer decided to crush this section in order to clear the bracket....well

can't they just bend the bracket a little bit to fit the uncrushed pipe????

here is another picture of nissan's awsome design.

I am asking $175 plus shipping and handling. It is very restrictive and makes your visit gas stations more often. The surface area of the pipe was cut by half because of this stupid design. But it is a Nissan genuine piece and made in Japan.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

no. 2 is the piece that's located right after the cat. This is a slightly crushed piece that just got chopped off from my car today. Again, thx to the engineers of nissan who designed this POS, it slows down the exhaust flow and consume more gasoline. Imagine you have a big rectum with a super small anus. how long will you take in the restroom to take a dump?

here is another picture of this piece.

I am sking $150 plus shipping and handling. It is again, restrictive and whenever you feel that your maxima's putting out too much horsepower and you dont need that much. this is a great buy to take some of your horsepower off. it works great with any 2.5 inch cat-back. just cut it off and weld this POS on.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

no. 3 is the bracket that makes nissan engineer to take off the bpipe and muffler and crushed it in order to make it clear off this bracket.

Will it be easier to take off the bracket and bend it a little?

I am asking $75 for this genuine POS straight of nissan factory. free shipping if you bought it with POS no.1.

if you want all 3 pieces....please paypal me 300 dollars total, shipping included.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

let me know how much you are willing to bid on those!

great items! I am the only one who's selling these and those are really rare. serious buyers only.

thx for watching.

Did you put a custom B on with resonator? If so how much did it cost and did those crossbeams get in the way?

nope...I just got a bpipe fix. I went there to fix my ypipe rattling because one of the hanger was not bolted-on. then I saw how bad it was crushed. I originally thought it just took off like 1/5 of the surface area like the piece right after the cat. but when I looked at the piece right after the resonator. I realize that I better take that sucker off.

anyways, back to your question. the shop will build a non-mandrel bend bpipe for 135 plus the muffler, which is ~100. For mandrel bend, it is going to cose me 275 just for the bpipe and ~100 for the muffler. They use aluminized metal and painted it with high temp paint. The mandrel pipe is more expensive than warpspeed. but install is included . I didnt go for this deal because I dont have the money for it. Just spend 40 bucks on the fix.

the bracket you saw in my pic was in the way so they have to take it off. you have to keep the big bracket because a ground wire was on one of hte bolts.

No...but that's who I'm going with once I do.

I was about to order one after harassing them for a Magnaflow resonator and then I decided why bother if I don't have a Y-pipe. I figure I might as well get the Y-pipe for actual gains FIRST and then get the B-pipe.

I just checked budget's website....they are asking 260 for a stainless steel mandrel bend bpipe. But warpspeed is selling aluminumized mandrel bend bpipe for 170. I think for your area, you can get the aluminumized ones.

definitly...all you need is to chop off a piece of your cat back and weld a 3" to 2" adapter onto it. It will make you exhaust a lot quiter and it will give you a lot of back pressure to your turbocharger. more back pressure = more torque! I will trade this for your Greddy Cat-back and I will offer free installation!

Every though nissan engineers new that the crushed bent pipe was restrictive, but was a lot quieter exhaust. People want quiet cars these days. The engineers are very smart and they knew what they were doing, but people like us want more power so we upgrade to aftermarket b-pipes when grandma keeps her **** stock.

The engineers are only smart when the finanical ppl allow them to. In this case, you can definitely tell it's cost cutting move. Well, you get what you pay for!..btw, what do those 2 crushed sections got to do with sounds? It is merely a cheap way to have more clearance!

my mom's V6 camry has a near straight 2.25(thru-out) cat back and it is quieter than my ex-stock maxima. I think it is just a stupid last minute design though.

I say it's an expensive and stupid way to have more clearance....if they dont want to bend the damned brackets, they could've just taken it off, or install the bracket somewhere else.

Well the crushed sections do restrict air flow and that will make it quieter from my experience. Why else after getting a b-pipe with no crushed sections did my exhaust get louder. When you open up your exhaust it will get louder..... everyone knows that. To me that's the key factor they thought about. Saying that they didn't want to bend the support bracket I think is stupid, but just my .02
