Traction Control, What is it?

I plan on getting an AT 2k1 Max . . . is it worth it getting Traction Control? What is it? I live in Southern California, will it help here?

well....you don't really need it unless

you get snow. To break your tires loose on wet roads you really have to get on the gas pretty hard. Traction control system...TCS...will cut power to the engine or even shift the gears of the auto to prevent the wheels from spining on ice and snow. It is good stuff. AND you can turn it off if ya wanna have some fun ABS is standard so you don't have to worry about stopping.

TCS is weird on snow

On snow, at an angle, you basically just do not move. When I first brought my i30 home I was really shocked to see how "well" it worked. It would be great on semi-slippery roads at higher speeds, but if you just want to make it up a driveway or over a hill on snow, you have to turn it OFF to get anywhere. It's the opposite of what I first thought.

you got a DVD/MP3 Multimedia system put into your i30t? how much did it run you?
