let's start off with what amp do you have? and what are your xover settings and high pass filters set at. i have 70 and up going to the hexes/coaxials and 75 down on my subs.
a couple changes that i made. my tweeter is set at "-2db" at the xover because they peaked too quickly and that limited my mids from powering up to their expected power. lowering it let me raise the volume even more w/out feeling a headache. also, because my amp is strong enough to power the componenets and the rears and still have power left over, i used the -5db setting instead of the -10db setting for the rears.
my impression, i love my setup, those who've heard it say that it reaches it's loudness at just the right level, and most importantly, the clarity is up there, way up there. can't just have your speakers be loud. any speaker can do that....which can do it and still have the sound come in at a great sounding level.

hello my good man. yeah, i got the hexes up front and M3coaxials in the rear. do they bump, let' ssee. my gain is at 50% and my ears feel like they are ready to bleed. the goal with interior speakers is to get crystal clear quality w/out any distortion. my subs (TDX 12's) take care of my bass.

I have a PPI amp that is 125x2 @4 ohms but it also dose 250x2 @ 2ohms but I can't get it down too 2 ohms yet. Everytime I turn up the volume the speakers starts to distort and sounds like they are going to pop. Im really frustrated with all this I think I'm just going to have to take my system into a Diamond Audio authorized dealership and have them redo everything.

to adjust the gain accordingly, lower it ALL the way, and raise the volume on the headunit to about 80-90% full volume, so out of let's say 80 (my max) i raised it to about 70. i then slowly raised the gain, until the speakers began to distort. at that point, i lowered it a bit. that was my max gain. perhaps the shop set the gain too high and it distorts too quickly. another thing to look at is your high pass filter. if it's too low, then you're sending too much bass to the mids, also distorting them too quickly. i think 70-75 and up is more than fine. too low and you'll get too much midbass that the speakers can't handle at high volumes.
too many things to look into. any of these look like problems?

again, what is your highpass filter set at, what is your xover setting for your RAF and your tweeter, and who did the gain, you or the shop.

Yeah, check your x-over settings and amp settings. A PPI amp and Hex Components should sound BLING BLING not like ish.. I would definitely complain to the shop that did the install, if you can't figure it out. I guess that's why some of us opt to do installations ourselves.
