Diablosport

Spoke to a guy at local performance shop today. We were discussing performance mods, and vbmod came up. The guy told me that he could reprogram my ECU and I would essentially reap same benefits as I would with VBmod. From what I understood he is able to modify the ECU settings using Diablosport programmer. I just wanted to know if the guy has no clue as to what he is talking about, or is this something worth looking into?

I was sort of leaning towards that conclusion myself. I checked out diablosport.com but only saw products for domestic vehicles. Just wanted to post and see if anyone else looked into reprogramming the ECU on the gen 5.

If im not mistaken, the computer that controls automatic shifting is totally seperate from the main ECU. There is a mod from JWT for 4th gens that reprograms the shift computer to make the car more driveable. ie. keeping it out of 4th at like 35mph. I dont think it is anything like the VB mod. I've never heard of the reprogram being available for 5th gens though.
