I want to swap my auto trans to manual. Is it worth it?

Well, the answer's really up to you.

Are you willing to spend ~$1000 and still be satisfied with a stick?

I would do it, but I don't have money and my sister drives the car and she's not that good of a driver with an auto..so yea...

^ yea.. 1000$ would barely covor labor unless you plan on doing it yourself. Parts would be quite expensive, maybe 1500$ or more probably.
