ye thats what i was thinking... i wonder if they are the same size.. i think if it will fit physically then there wouldnt be a problem because both of our tachs are digital anyway so i think it would be just connecting wires.. and most likely the adapters are the same.. i guess it will just have to be a case of trial and error but i really do like that dashboard... its like the ones that come on lexus.. my friend has it on his diamante too...
if u have the black gauges like on a gxe or a gle then u can make a mod like that pretty easily by tinting the glass thats infront and putting the hid type bulbs behind the cluster so its bright and conecting the wire that makes it go on when the lights go on to something that goes on with the ignition and u will have that look... i have a friend that did that on his 97 diamante and it looked pretty nice...

what color are the gauges....
in the i30? are they green? also, is that a storage compartment above the clock in the dash of the i30? i like it, it would be a cool place to put a radar detector or something, that would be a cool thing to do with our max's.

the color of the speedo lights in my car is white..and the thing above the clock is for the navigation system on the 2001 model..but if u dont have the navigation system like me then theres no storage compartment..to me it looks better without. but it is nice..

The compartment above the clock is cool. I don't really keep anything in it. Some of the models have a nav system in there, some have no compartment. Not sure I'd put a radar detector in there, bad view!
