I have an injen with apexi and i love it. I noticed a that the car sounded better after i put on the apex. It also seemed like it was breathing easier. I am happy

Igor....if you order frankencar, prepare to wait 6 months for it...apparently they make these by hand at their leisure...

Don't go stillen. The midpipe helps the HP and sound. I have the Frank w/Apexi and if I had it to do over again, I would do the K&N and save the money. Or I would do the injen. People say that the Frank is better, but I was pulled in 4th gear by an 03 with an injen as the only motor mod.

Slap a bigger K&N on the Injen. The filter that comes with it is tiny!!

I just put a larger K&N on my Injen. It's the biggest you can get and fit into the space if you have an auto tranny. If you have a manual tranny you can probably go bigger. The part # for the filter I got is RR-3001. It comes with a custom end cap, either red, blue, or chrome. RR-3001 is a red end cap, RR-3002 is blue end cap, and RR-3003 is a polished aluminum end cap. The filter is 6 inches in diamter and 5 inches long.

Check here for filter sizing...URL=http://www.knfilters.com/universal/univrndtap.htm]K&N filter sizing[/URL].

Where is the best place to buy the Apexi filter? I'd like to replace it on my OEM Injen air intake.

So you are saying that my straight through muffler PowerTech is giving too much backpressure? That is confusing because without the muffler mounted, you can see through it.

The stock muffler is the most free flow there is -it has small chanbers that when filled open up and release continuously-
its interior design is actually revolutionary -there are pics somewhere

Most aftermarket mufflers are basically for sound/looks- it fill up-out comes out a dronny sound- doesnt nescessarily make your car faster-
alot of people lose power putting in an aftermarket muffler-
specially if its not part of a cat back system-
Shyt just cause it fits dont mean it works!

Specially magnaflow-they good mufflers- but they are designed with
universal applications in mind-

Yes it will fit. I had an Apexi on my 2k auto and fit no problem. You can purchase the filter with adapter at frankencar.com You can also purchase just the filter at optauto.com but you need an adaptor to fit it on the Injen so go with frankencar.com keep in mind you have to replace the filter every 30K miles. It gets expensive....

I personally like the Apexi filter better. I've had both and the sound definately improved and the car appeared to breathe better.
