Am looking for shops in Atlanta which do good maintenance work on 2000 Maximas. I'm not talking just an oil change, which I can do myself, but am looking for a shop that can perform major service intervals, install a spring kit, etc. Don't plan on going to the dealer.

I thought I read a post on the site where somebody recommended a shop, but after looking around again, I can not find the post.

Is there such a place?

A general Internet search turns up "Atlanta Racing Enterprises" on Lawrenceville Hwy, but they specialize in 300's. I'm sure they could handle a Maxima, but would like something recommended if possible.

Thanks!

I know of a place in Athens

a bit of a drive, but I had a 1989 SE make it to 228K miles without ever having a problem that was out of the ordinary, or leaving me stranded, with the help of these guys. They also did great work on my Acura Legend before I sold it:

Japanese Motor Works

Little hole in the wall shop but did great work IMO. Fair price too. They did the work on my cars from 1991 to 1999 at various times through school and just living in Athens or the Lilburn area.

If interested i can give you directions, but i dont have their phone number now (I live in NC presently)

A couple of places

There is a place called 5th Gear off of 85 and Pleasantdale road (going from Gwinnett Place into Atlanta) that does some simple bolt on stuff. Then there is this place called Atlanta Chassis Dyno that can do anything mild to wild as well as dyno tuning. These guys are mostly all about higher performance V8's but they have used their hand on tweeking a couple of V6's to some respectable numbers (TT Supra, my SC'ed 96 Maxima). Call up Brad or Brian and tell them that I sent you and they will take care of you.
