NEED HELP! 2K2+ AERO front lip status? Pics without it?
Anybody *think* Stillen will EVER make an AERO front lip for the 2K2+?
Anybody got pics with the rest of the kit(sides/rear), but no lip?

The search feature at test.maxima.org doesn't work (I get no results no matter what I look for) so I couldn't find the thread I'm thinking of, but another org member was supposedly working with a manufacturer to make a Stillen Aero replica lip designed for the 2k2-2k3. He called it the AE kit in the title of the thread but farther down he corrected it and said it would look just like the Stillen Aero.

Well they're done, we just don't know when Stillen will be ready to send them all out.

Hopefully, they only redid the front, so it matches the rest of the 2K-2K1 aerokit.

You should know I wouldn't do that.
I'm gonna go take a couple more pics of it for you right now also. Any particular angles of the bumper you're looking for?

I haven't seen a good shot of the grille spacing, since it's always a blur.

J/K! Yeah, a side shot, like 60-degrees, so the glare from the FLASH doesn't reflect so bad.

Is it just me or does that look almost exactly like the stock front bumper? Aside from the grills what's the difference?

Stillen email
I emailed stillen on this issue. Here is my email to them followed by their response. This is from a week ago. enjoy
My email:
Hello,
I was given this email address by a friend. I am not sure if it is going to the proper department. If it needs to be sent somewhere else, would you please forward it for me.
I am writing in regards to the design of an aero kit for the 2002-2003 Nissan maxima. I don't know if stillen has any plans to manufacture this item already, but if you don't, would you please consider it. The aero kit I am thinking of would resemble the Nissan factory aero kit that came standard on the 2001 Maxima Anniversary Edition. This kit would be perfect because it provides a sporty and aggressive look without being as aggressive as the Touring lip your company currently offers.
As you know, there were slight cosmetic differences between the 2k2-2k3 maximas and 2k-2k1 models. This slight change, while being more aggressive and better looking, also leaves 2k2-2k3 owners unable to use as many products as the other 5th generation Maxima owners. If you were to browse the many Maxima community websites such as www.maxima.org and www.nissanx.com , you would see that there would be quite a good demand for this product.
I appreciate your time and willingness to look into the production of this product. If you are already producing or planning production of this product, let me thank you.
Thank you for your time,
Austin Speer
Stillen Response:
Austin-
Thanks for your note and your interest in Stillen.
I want to respond to your request. There are a couple of factors that affect this.
First of all we would not duplicate a Nissan part or anyone else's part.
Secondly, the touring spoilers have predominantly outsold our standard spoilers wherever we have both applications available.
Making a new urethane part requires a substantial investment in modeling and mold expenses. We are very careful to make our best estimate of how well an item will sell before committing to a substantial investment on it.
I will put this in front of the group that examines new product ideas.
Thanks for your input.
Sincerely,
Jeff Ricciardi

Ok, then let me ask a dumb question. Why would you pay hundreds of dollars for basically the same front bumper that you have now? Plus you have to worry about installing and matching the paint it and everything. Is it just for the grills?

J/K
1)The grilles are custom and are pretty close to what I've always wanted, but can't buy.
2)I need to repaint my front bumper soon anyways, so the cost is a wash.
3)The 2K2 bumper is MEANER looking then my 2K1 and fits my 2K2 headlights better.
The only problem is that I already have a 2K-2K1 aero kit and want a matching front lip.
