which FSTB to buy and where

i'm looking to buy a FSTB for my 2002 nissan maxima SE.

i remember seeing an otto racing?? and a bombz FSTB somewhere. can those that have it or those that know where it is direct me to a website?

i would like to know where i could buy it, how much it costs, and pictures of what it looks like. and also if there are any problems with either product mentioned above, or if there's a better alernative that someone else is using.

thanks in advance guys. and girls.

From what i hear, there's really not much difference between the brands. Mine is from Courtesy Nissan and it definitely does the job. Here's a pic.. ignore the power cable running over the bracket.

Sorry for the bad quality but you get the idea.

I got mine on ebay for $45 shipped. You can get a generic one for probably a lot less and it will do the same job.

since you have a 2002 max, you can get the stillen, bomz, otto, custommaxima ftsb, but dont go on ebay to buy them 12.99 or 13.99 or even 7.99 strut bars because they will rub against your manifold, which will suck.

Prices so far....Otto- I got mine for 53.75 shipped from procarparts on ebay. Stillen, hundred something, Bomz, same as Ottto. Custommaxima 68 bucks plus shipping. Its up to you dude. Have fun choosing.

Did you have to do any modifying of the bar brackets to take into account that sensor braket welded to the driver's tower?

Have you had personal experience with a "cheap" bar? 95% of the people who have bought them have had no problems.

you know, this debate happens SOOOOOOOO much that it gets old quick.

ALL the FSTBs out there do the same thing

you now reach the line of separation for "look and feel"

some, like asu, don't mind purchasing the cheap (meaning less $$$ not degraded) FSTB and calling it the day

some don't mind paying through the nose for a name, like Stillen

others look for a more 'moderate' solution like OTTO (which, essentially, LOOKS like a chrome version of the Stillen for a lot less), OBX, Bomz, etc.

Let's stop the debate... because honestly... it's the same as if you want to debate about a running shoe... someone will spend over $100 on a Nike when others don't mind a $70 pair of Reeboks, and still others don't mind spending $25 at a shoe outlet. It still goes on your foot the same way and does the same job. Any debate about it is instantly negated when you consider that there have been Africans from Kenya who have won marathons running BAREFOOT!

Thank you for clarifying. They should all fit the same. The only one that I have heard of rubbing issues is the OBX bar, which seems to be extinct.

I would recommend the OTTO as well. Good quality for a very decent price
(about $50) and it fits perfect.
