I thought about it and bought the kit but never did it. I'm afraid it wouldn't look professional because I don't want to take them off to do it.

have a black 03 and minimal tech skill. Went ahead with a friend who was a little bit more knowledgeable and did the calipers over in a pretty cool bluish color (sorry NT2SHBBY). I spent about $6 on some high temp resistant paint from auto zone. That was in may, august is here and thru all the rain and car washes the finish still looks good and people comment on it all the time. Id say go with the black unless you really wanna turn heads.

Cool thanks Crown, question did you take off the calipers
my friend (very tech) said we would need paper, masking tape
brake cleaner and of course the paint.

Thanks peps for all your insite.

One other question, where (site,etc...) can I get a new
shifter know (auto) wanna change out the oem one.

I did mine red...last year looked good and still kinda like it but the paint starts to loose its intensity. If I were to do it again..I would do a dark color

Again, I have minimal tech skills so my use of laymans terms may be a little confusing. We removed the wheels, and brake pads/components and ubnbolted the cals, but left them connected via the cable that is attached to them (brake lines?) We used a tarp to protect the underside of the car as well as the outer portion. We used a couple of coats of clear coat, and then the blue. Waited for it to dry and reassembled. The blue looks really neat when the car is in motion, you can see very clearly behind the wheel and it creates a striking contrast on a black car with the the clear sides and freshly polished stock wheels. Again, I say go for it.

I just did mine today. I used the G2 brake caliper paint kit from wheelskin.com. You do not have to remove the calipers, just the wheels. I have a 2003 merlot SE and I painted the calipers silver. The color is just a little darker than the color of the stock wheels. It looks awesome behind the wheels and goes well with the clear corners. The change is subtle, but a great improvement. It doesn't scream "look at me", but it definately completes the package.
