Damn Mother Nature

If there ever is a time in your car's life when you feel the most helpless, it's when your car is being pelted by golf ball size hail. My car got hit pretty good, and I have a $500 deductible . My roomate's girlfriend's Alero was not even touched. Hell, I guess it wasn't a virgin anymore when I got rear-ended by a 17 year old not paying attention. So much for trying to keep it nice.

I know what you mean. Before I got my 2k3 I briefly had a 2k. Not even a week after I got it we had a 10 minute hailstorm in the middle of the workday. All we could do was stand by the windows and watch. Luckily my car wasn't damaged and I ended up trading it in a month later anyway. But you should have seen the look on this guy's face...he drives a convertible Jaguar...it was priceless. I couldn't decide if he was going to start crying or start throwing things.

Sorry to hear about your car though...that really sucks.

I guess my car is not "like new" any more. After being rear-ended in the spring by a 17 yr old that wasn't paying attention, my car is getting repainted once again. New hood, fix dents in front left and right quarter panels, roof, deck lid, rear quarter panels. The only things that aren't getting repainted are the bumpers, and rear doors. $2894.
