Speed Limited after mods ???? . . . . .

Before I add the Frankencar and new set of tires I was able to run atleast or close 130mph. Now that I have add the Frankencar and new tires I barely get over 120mph. (I know its crazy to go that fast so don't blaze) Could it be the new size tire 235/50/17??? Or did I do something wrong with the Frankencar. Should I re-reset the ECU. I reset the ECU when I installed the Frankencar. I don't know whats wrong, and its kinda making me mad. If there is a limiter how do I remove it. Or should I check something else all together.

i would bet its the tire size and the speedo error that comes along with that size. ive got the same size on mine and i noticed my speedometer reads a little low at normal speeds but can be off pretty bad when you get up there. i checked on my gps and im still running the same top speed though.

speedo error increase the higher you go. a rsm is a rev speed meter made by apex'i. its made for monitoring just about any function of the car and it also allows for removing the top speed limiter.

At those sizes, a 10mph speedo error is too high. If anything it shouldn't be more than 2-3mph for this particular size.

They run about $220 for the meter alone, another $70 for the G-Sensor and stand if you want it.

Just search for Apexi RSM on google.
